DREAMING BRAIN
Dreaming Brain is an interactive movie by artists Steve Miller and Colin Goldberg, produced in 1999.
Dreaming Brain is presented in the context of a traveling museum show entitled ‘DREAMWORKS: Twentieth Century Artistic and Psychological Perspectives’ in celebration of the 100th year publication date of Freud’s The Interpretation of Dreams.
In the thesis for the exhibition, Lynn Gamwell states that “dreams have evolved into a central subject matter of twentieth-century art because dreams have come to be understood… as keys to unlock the psyche.”
The exhibition opened at the Equitable Art Gallery in New York.
