“The third edition of ArtRio, the largest contemporary art fair of Rio de Janeiro, reaches Fashion Mall. From August 12 to September 8th, the mall at São Conrado holds “Fashion Animal”, a photography exhibition by American artist Steve Miller. The 18 artworks present the relationship between nature and consumer society. Using X-Ray technique, Miller’s works include natural species of the Brazilian Amazon region (in B&W) and colorful fashion accessories such as handbags, belts and shoes. “Fashion and animal worlds have both, on their own, a cycle of desire, of consumption and of change. Both brighten, seduce and attract us as if they were treasures”, says the artist.
