Steve Miller, Elastic and Diffractive, inkjet and silkscreen on canvas, diptych 43″x28 1/2″, May 2014. When I visited the Theory Group at CERN, I photographed chalkboards full of equations, really sketchpads, notations, and formulas for understanding the Cosmos. I highly contrasted the formulas and silkscreened them on top of the images I took of the cables under the Hadron Collider to create another layer of meaning and to depict science with both beauty and complexity.
