About this Series

The protein series developed out of research done by Rod MacKinnon at Rockefeller University. The result was a group of paintings and drawings
around the subject of proteomics and bioinformatics.

In December 2003, Dr. MacKinnon accepted the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his understanding of how a charged ion moves across a cell membrane. Information about this science can be found here.
