FINDERS KEEPERS: PARRISH ART MUSEUM
Particle physics is investigating the origin of the universe. This work involves a collaboration with Dr. Stephen Adler at Brookhaven National Laboratory, a leading research scientist in the field of particle physics at Brookhaven National Laboratory. At Brookhaven, by colliding protons, scientists are studying quark gluon plasma, the state of matter immediately after the Big Bang. In the Parrish Art Museum installation the paintings and pottery form a conceptual time line from the earliest accomplishments of human kind in Neolithic Chinese art to the current scientific investigations about the nature of matter.
